New Castle County Councilman Bob Weiner Sponsors $2500 Council Grant Brandywine High School Band Boosters

New Castle County Councilman Bob Weiner is pleased to announce that the Brandywine High School Band Boosters has received a grant in the amount of $2500 from New Castle County Council.

The grant request was approved unanimously by all 13 members of County Council.

The Brandywine High School Band Boosters is a volunteer parent and guardian organization that supports all the instrumental music and color guard groups at BHS, including Concert Band, Symphonic Band, the "Blazers" Jazz Band, and the "Marching Wind, Percussion, and Visual Ensemble" (marching band).

Councilman Weiner stated, “I am pleased and honored to have sponsored this grant for the Brandywine High School's Band Boosters. As a Class of ’68 alumni and a current Band Booster, I am delighted to have the resources to assist the students of BHS in activities that will broaden their minds and make them well-rounded adults.”

"I am grateful for Bob's decade-long support for the Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route National Historic Trail, which follows Philadelphia Pike and Market Street into Wilmington. His presence and influence at the birth of our Delaware organization to develop this trail and to have it designated as a National Historic Trail was a key factor in keeping our hopes for the trail alive and growing."
