Weiner named to Greenways advisory board - News Journal

New Castle County Councilman Robert Weiner has been named to the advisory board of Delaware Greenways, a nonprofit organization that uses public and private investment for trails and pushes for protection of open space and scenic landscapes.

Weiner, a Republican serving on council since 1996, represents western Brandywine Hundred and part of Claymont and Greenville. He is a longtime advocate of responsible development.

"We're very excited that Bob has agreed to serve," said Mark Chura, executive director of Delaware Greenways. "His passion, energy and commitment to open space and smart growth initiatives provide a great strategic fit for our organization."
